In this light, the Women Association of the Hydrocarbons Price Stabilization Fund (HPSF) organized a series of activities aimed at celebrating women, promoting solidarity, and extending support to the community. The initiative was led by the President of the HPSF Women Association (HWA) under the stewardship of the Director General, Okie Johnson NDOH, and the Deputy Director General, Diane Valérie OBAM.
The activities began on the 3rd of March 2026, with an outreach visit to the Chantal Biya Mother and Child Foundation in Yaounde. During the visit, the General Directorate through the HWA made a donation of 2.4million CFA francs to support children battling cancer. The donation is intended to assist parents in acquiring necessary medication while also serving as a gesture of compassion and encouragement to the young fighters and their families.
On 4th March 2026, the celebration continued with a friendly football match between the HPSF Women Association (the golden team) and the team from CDEC. The HPSF team emerged victorious with a 4–1 win. Beyond the score line, the match reflected strong team spirit and unity, as staff and interns played side by side without distinction, reinforcing the sense of family within the institution.
March 5, 2026 was dedicated to a culinary exhibition that showcased Cameroon’s rich cultural diversity and bilingual heritage. Participants presented a variety of traditional dishes, highlighting the institution’s multicultural identity and promoting unity through shared culinary traditions.
March 06, the women embarked on another outreach visit to Centre d’accueil BETHANIE VIACAM before heading for a relaxation outing at Dade Park. The excursion offered an opportunity to unwind and reconnect with nature. Participants engaged in recreational activities such as horse riding, bridge crossing, and driving games, creating moments of joy, relaxation, and camaraderie.
The week-long celebration concluded on Sunday with a grand gathering at the HPSF head office in Yaoundé. The day began with breakfast, followed by a ceremonial march-past by the women. Upon returning to the office premises, the celebration continued in a festive atmosphere marked by small chops, elegant decoration, and moments of shared joy.
Highlights of the closing ceremony included the presentation of the football trophy to top management, the cutting of a commemorative cake in honor of women, and the installation of newly promoted staff.
Through these initiatives, the HPSF Women Association reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women, promoting solidarity, and supporting the community, while strengthening the bonds that unite members of the institution.
