On Tuesday 13 January, the headquarters of the Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilization Fund (HPSF) hosted the election of staff delegates. This ballot, which was marked by exemplary turnout and complete transparency, saw the renewal of the body of worker representatives, in accordance with the regulations in force.
Voting took place from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. in a calm atmosphere, reflecting the sense of responsibility of the voters (CSPH staff) and organisers. In order to ensure inclusive participation, online voting was also organised, allowing staff members from regional services to take part in the ballot.
In addition, the electoral process was organised around two electoral colleges: the first college was composed of executive officers; the incumbent delegate-Vice-President Mr Ali MOHAMMADOU and Mr Cyrille Didier SAMBA, the alternate delegate. The second electoral college comprised managers and supervisors, with Ms SIMO EKUDE EPIE Sharleen as President and three (03) full delegates: Ms NGO NOUMA Carolie Mercie, Mr Martin Aimé MENYENG and Mr Martin TJEG TINA. An attendance list was drawn up and signed by each voter.
In addition, to ensure the confidentiality of the vote, polling booths were set up. Each voter cast their ballot by placing it in an envelope, which was then deposited in the ballot box provided for this purpose. However, the operations were supervised by a polling station composed of a Chairperson, Ms. ESSOLA AKAME Marie Noelle, Director of Legal Affairs and Litigation (DAJC), and nine scrutineers, with representatives from each of the colleges present. At the end of the ballot, information relating to the electoral process was entered on the official platform of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MINTSS), in accordance with the procedures in force.
Thus, there was full participation in both colleges. The first college recorded 19 registered voters, 19 voters and 0 invalid ballots. The second college recorded 158 registered voters, 158 votes cast and 2 invalid ballots.
These elections are an important step in strengthening social dialogue, participatory governance and internal cohesion within the HPSF.
